Job description

The Company and Role
A leading advanced manufacturing business in Northampton is currently seeking a skilled CNC Milling Setter/Operator to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-precision components across various sectors.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Manufacture one-off and small batch precision components to high tolerances
  2. Set and operate 3 & 5 axis vertical milling machines
  3. Work from detailed engineering drawings
  4. Operate CNC machinery using HAAS and Siemens controllers
  5. Work with a variety of materials, including plastics, foams, and composites
  6. Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in all machining processes

The Candidate

  1. Experienced in setting and operating CNC mills
  2. Experience operating vertical milling machines essential
  3. Background in high-precision industries such as F1, Aerospace, or Oil & Gas is desirable
  4. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  5. Knowledge of HAAS & Siemens control systems is advantageous
  6. A formal apprenticeship is desirable but not essential

The Package
The salary for this position is £14 - £16 per hour, dependent on skills, experience, and ability to meet the key requirements of the role.
