We're looking for a CNC Programmer to join a global leader in bespoke manufacturing at their site based in Hayfield.

In this role you will be performing quality checks, reading engineering drawings, selecting tools, and reporting machine faults.

1. £16.00 - £19.00 per hour
2. Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:00pm
3. Early finish on Fridays
4. Overtime available (paid at an enhanced rate)

What will you be doing as a CNC Programmer?

1. Setting and operating a range of CNC machines, including multi-axis and sliding head (possibly programming experience dependant)
2. Producing components to required tolerances and quality standards
3. Identifying and recommending programme amendments to improve efficiency and/or quality
4. Carrying out quality checks to ensure components meet the required quality standards
5. Performing "Start of Work" machine inspections before the start of each shift
6. Reporting any machine faults or unusual occurrences through approved Maintenance Reporting Procedures
7. Reading and comprehending engineering drawings to ensure machined parts conform to drawing and planning specifications
8. Selecting suitable tools, equipment, and materials for machining preparation

What do you need?

1. CNC machining experience
2. Experience in programming both 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines (Heidenhain or Hurco)
3. Familiarity with use of Fanuc (desirable)
4. A recognised engineering qualification or time served as an apprentice (desirable)
