CNC Machinist / Operator - Clevedon

Our client, a major manufacturer of bearings for the aerospace industry, is looking to expand their team. We’re recruiting for several positions ranging from standard machining Operators to highly skilled CNC 4 and 5 axis machinists.

My client offers attractive salary packages with shift allowance, good holiday entitlement, and pension.

Shift patterns will be:

Monday to Thursday - 05:50-14:00 and 13:50-22:00

Fridays 05:50-11:20 and 11:10-16:40.

Depending on experience you would complete a range of duties that can include:

1. Support manufacturing process requirements
2. Work to aerospace quality standards
3. Actively participate and support Manufacturing Excellence
4. Uphold Health and Safety Regulations

What are we looking for:

1. Machine setting and operating experience - Milling, Turning, CNC operations
2. Understanding tolerances, torque, and measurements
3. Provide general support to team leader/manager in maintaining and improving overall effectiveness of the channel
4. Ability to work to local quality standards
5. Ability to work safely and methodically
6. Ability to work to standardised work procedures and policies
7. Good numeracy and literacy skills
8. Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing (5s, Material Flow)
9. Preferably completed a Manufacturing Basic Apprenticeship
