Job description

CNC Machinist - Milling

  • Respected engineering company
  • 37-hour weeks Alternating Shift Pattern
  • £17.26 base rate with shift uplift of 20% on 6am-2pm (£20.71), 30% on 2pm-10pm (£22.43), and 40% on 10pm - 6am (£24.16)
  • Continued career development

The job:

  • Set up and operate CNC machine tools to produce large components to quality standards and tight tolerances
  • Support colleagues and trainees with training as required
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and adhere to Health and Safety procedures

Skills / Experience:

  • Engineering NVQ Level 3 or formal apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
  • Manual Milling
  • Manual Turning
  • CNC Machining using Fanuc and Heidenhein controls
  • Ability to write and amend CNC programs
  • Must be able to work to a high level of quality
  • Must have good attendance record and excellent timekeeping
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings

Rotating Shift Pattern: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am
