CNC Machinist (Miller & Turner)
Prestwick
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday:
Early Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6 am - 2 pm (30-minute/15-minute breaks paid), Friday, 6 am - 11 am (33% shift allowance)
Back Shift: Monday to Thursday, 2 pm - 10 pm (30-minute/15-minute breaks paid), Friday, 11 am - 4 pm (33% shift allowance)
Shifts are rotating, following a training period on the day shift.
Benefits:
Up to 18 per hour PLUS a 33% shift premium for early/back shifts. Pay review at the end of the successful probationary period.
Day Shift: 18 per hour
Early & Back Shifts: 18 + 33% = 23.94 per hour

Monday to Friday working schedule with an early finish on Fridays

Are you the right person for the job?
Apprenticeship/HNC in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
Time-served Miller with minimum 3 years CNC experience
Experience of programming and operating CNC Milling machines
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Knowledge of Fanuc programming language
Self-motivated with an eye for detail and effective communication skills
Ability to hit the ground running and enjoy working within a small, skilled team
Customer Service experience is essential, along with excellent people skills
Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK
What will your role look like?
Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling or turning machinery to perform both internal and external milling or turning of components as per customer drawings.
Operating manual milling machinery and turning machinery.
Utilising inspection equipment to ensure precise adherence to sizes, tolerances, and surface finishes.
Playing a critical role in meeting customers' needs through meticulous work.
