Job description

CNC Machinist

Perm Role, £32k-£36k pa DOE Initially, Days, 37hrs per week, Mon-Thurs, Overtime

Location: WETHERBY

Working on behalf of my client, Interaction Recruitment are recruiting an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer to work for a Precision Engineering firm based in Wetherby.

The business is commutable from York, Leeds or Harrogate and this is a great opportunity to join a dedicated team who take pride in their work.

Required Experience:

  1. Experienced tool room operative within the engineering sector
  2. Excellent CNC Milling skills
  3. Capable of reading complex engineering drawings
  4. Ideally have 5 years' experience CNC programming, setting and operation
  5. Good working knowledge of FANUC controls and programming
  6. Strong understanding of providing accuracy and quality
  7. Must have attention to detail, flexibility and have a team player mentality

Other desired skills include:
  1. A good understanding of CAD/CAM (Autodesk) ideally Fusion 360
  2. Familiar with Heidenhain controls and programming
  3. Experience in engineering a wide range of specialist materials including Heavy Flame cut Structural Steels, High tensile steel, Aluminium, Brass, Bronze and Acetal
  4. Experience of working to ISO9001:2015
  5. C/B FLT License would be beneficial

Working Hours:
The core working hours for this role are 37hrs per week, 7.30am-5.15pm from Monday to Thursday. Overtime is always available and is paid at Time + 1/3 on weekdays and Time + ½ on Saturdays. The starting salary for the role is between £32k and £36k Depending on Experience. This role is advertised as Permanent.
