CNC Machinist

CNC Miller or Turner

Contek are working with a small sub-contract machine shop in Oxford who are looking for either a competent CNC Miller or Turner to join their team.

This company being a sub-contract business offers a range of machined components, mainly low volume/one off components for a variety of industries such as Aerospace, Food, Science and Motorsport.

Training will be offered for candidates who would like to learn or have basic experience using CAD/CAM software, but online programming is essential. We are happy to hear from candidates who have used conversational software.

Requirements:

1. Create components from customer drawings on either a CNC Mill or Lathe.
2. Using drawings to ensure the components you machined are within tolerance.
3. Using Hurco controls and CAD/CAM packages.
4. Work low volume/one off components with confidence.
5. Manual machining where required (not essential).
6. Willing/can-do attitude and open to learning/improving your own machining processes.

Desired:

1. Experience using Hurco.
2. Happy to work in a small engineering team.
3. CAD/CAM Programming experience.

Hours:

This role offers flexible hours that are typically as follows:

Monday - Thursday
07:30 - 16:00
Friday
Flexible depending on hours done within the week.

Overtime is offered at 1.3x the hourly rate you start on.
