CNC Machinist Job Overview

My client is a continuously growing sub-contract manufacturer of precision-engineered machined components. They are based in Knowsley, Merseyside and have become a major manufacturer of machine components for companies both in the UK and worldwide supplying numerous large blue chip companies.

They are currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter due to company expansion to join their night shift team running a Mazak CNC machine.

CNC Machinist Job Requirements

• Live in a commutable location from Knowsley, Merseyside
• Mazak programming and setting is essential for this role
• Happy and willing to work night shift
• Must be able to machine high precision parts with tight tolerances
• Must be able to self-inspect machine parts ensuring adherence to drawing specifications
• Will have the ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings
• Expertise of using Fanuc/Siemens controls is required
• Hermle experience would be an added bonus
• Ideally will have worked within a busy manufacturing facility plant
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Must be able to work individually and unsupervised to achieve relevant targets
• Computer literate including a good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook beneficial

CNC Machinist Salary & Benefits

• Monday to Thursday 21:15pm - 06:45am
• Overtime available
• Pay £16 - £20 per hour depending on experience
• 1/3 for shift allowance on top of hourly salary
