CNC Machine Operator
Location: Newcastle
Job Type: Temp to Perm

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC Horizontal Borers and Gantry Mills, ensuring precision machining to meet high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Set up and operate CNC machines to produce components as per specifications.
2. Make necessary edits to NC part programs to optimise machining processes.
3. Select and pre-set tooling according to 'Tool Sheets.'
4. Perform quality checks using precision measurement tools (Micrometers, Verniers, CMM).
5. Maintain tooling, equipment, and work environment in an orderly state.
6. Conduct basic machine lubrication and maintenance.
7. Work with Siemens 840D control systems.

What We're Looking For:

1. Experience operating CNC machines in an engineering environment.
2. Ability to work with fine tolerances.
3. Knowledge of machining processes and ability to read technical drawings.
4. Experience with metric/imperial conversions.
5. ONC, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification (preferred).
