Job Title: CMM Inspector/Quality Engineer

Location: Derby

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Job Type: Full time / Permanent / Double days

Early Shift: 6am-2pm Mon to Thur, 6am-12pm Friday (15 Min Break 9:45am-10:00am)

Late Shift: 2pm-Midnight Mon-Wed, Thur 2pm-10.20pm (20 Min break 7pm-7:20pm)

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be part of the quality/inspection team responsible for inspecting all inter-process and completed manufactured components produced. You will use sound logic and inspection capability to report findings against department and company KPI's.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Component and product conformity against design
2. Correct calibration of equipment being used
3. Correct reporting of KPI's
4. Daily Non-conformance collection & reporting
5. Quality reporting and investigation when required
6. Cleanliness and good housekeeping
7. Issuing customer rejection notes when required
8. Issuing Corrective Action Reports when needed
9. Output & productivity through inspection
10. Reducing non-conformance
11. Reducing un-declared non-conformance
12. Reducing the value and quantity of re-work and salvaged parts
13. Proactive attitude and participation in any lean activity
14. Reduce time wasted waiting for first off's

The Candidate

1. Experience with using Calypso
2. Experience in a Quality Engineer role / similar
3. Pro-active "can do" approach to everything
4. Good team ethic at all times
5. Reliable with good timekeeping
6. Flexible to perform extra hours (overtime) if required
