About The RoleFDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Cloud Product Support Engineer to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Solihull.
You will be working with cutting-edge Cloud technologies in a dynamic IT environment. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimising infrastructure components to ensure high availability and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities- Deliver 3rd-line technical support for Hybrid Cloud platforms to local and remote staff, ensuring swift resolution of complex issues
- Provide specialised support to VIP users, ensuring high availability and exceptional service quality
- Participate in incident management processes, including root cause analysis and resolution of infrastructure-related incidents
- Manage and troubleshoot Hybrid Cloud platforms
- Lead and contribute to multiple IT projects, focusing on improving Hybrid Cloud platforms
- Work closely with technology teams to identify and resolve recurring issues affecting Hybrid Cloud platforms
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement innovative deployment processes for hardware and software
- Influence technology strategies and IT policies, emphasising a data-driven and user-focused approach
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Hybrid Cloud platforms to recommend best practices and solutions
About YouRequirements- In-depth knowledge of major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including their services, capabilities, and integration
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices, compliance standards, and tools for securing data and applications in a hybrid environment, including a strong understanding of networking concepts, such as VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and network security
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Proficiency with container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Skills in managing data across hybrid environments, including data migration, storage solutions, and data governance
- Ability to implement and use monitoring tools to ensure the performance and reliability of hybrid cloud services
- Understanding of APIs and integration techniques to connect different systems and services within a hybrid cloud setup
- Proficient in ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
