Job description

Job Summary

Our LSCFT all age Learning Disability Team are looking for a new member to join their teams! The teams are hoping to find a Team Administrator who is able to provide high quality administration support to the team alongside having excellent IT, keyboard and data inputting skills. They will work across multiple teams, providing support to both the adult's and children's team.

You will also require strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with a wide range of people including patients, parents/families, carers and health care professionals. You will need to demonstrate initiative, be able to work autonomously, be organised in your role and have excellent problem solving skills.

The work is varied and interesting, and you will need to have the ability to organise your workload effectively to meet the demands of the service whilst monitoring service demands.

Main Duties of the Job

  1. The post holder will provide day to day support to the Operational Lead and Community Learning Disability Teams.
  2. To undertake any office activities for the purpose of administration contributing to an effective administrative function within the Learning Disability Teams.
  3. To provide an efficient comprehensive administrative and clerical service to the staff within the Learning Disability Teams.
  4. To work as part of a team and contribute to the achievement of its objectives.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Good level of education. 5 x GCSE grades A-C to include English and Maths or equivalent.
  • ECDL or equivalent competence with IT applications
  • Office administration and/or secretarial qualifications at NVQ 3/RSA Level 2 or equivalent knowledge gained through experience

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of a range of administration duties.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding Agenda.

Experience

  • 12-18 months previous working in an Administration role.
  • Data inputting and checking.
  • Administration of meetings - organising, minute taking, document management.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated and willingness to be flexible, diplomatic and courteous
  • Empathy for people with disabilities and diverse health needs
  • Ability to remain pleasant and calm under pressure.
