The salary for this permanent Clinical Specialist Mammographer job is £55,000 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Conduct quality control activities for mammography services.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including appointment bookings and reporting, for the Mammography department.
  • Operate and navigate PACS and DR/CR systems effectively.
  • Participate in symptomatic breast clinics to provide specialised care.
  • Perform screening mammograms with precision and care.
  • Assist in ultrasound procedures, such as biopsies, aspirations, drainages, and localisation.
  • Collaborate with consultant breast radiologists to perform stereotactic biopsies.
  • Support evening breast clinics by participating in late shifts.
  • Rotate between facilities, as part of the Mammography team.

Requirements of the Clinical Specialist Mammographer:

  • Active HCPC registration.
  • Relevant postgraduate experience, including a PGCert in Mammography or Breast Imaging.
  • Proven experience in mammography within the UK.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mammography processes and procedures.
  • Proficient in computer skills, with an intermediate to advanced level of competency.
