We have a permanent opportunity for a Band 7 Clinical Specialist Dietitian which will sit within the Worcestershire Adult Eating Disorders Team. The role will oversee and supervise junior dietitians and establish pathways of care trust-wide across the eating disorder teams. The position is 0.7wte, 26.25 hours a week.
We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and registered dietitian who has experience of working within eating disorders. The postholder will clinically manage the dietetic aspect of the service, ensuring the service continues to meet national targets.
The service is a countywide small outpatient therapy service that provides clinical management and treatment for patients with eating disorders. The team has recently expanded as part of the community transformation project across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, so you will be joining a well-established and supportive team.

Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to support our client group through their treatment within our service. Professional development is encouraged; there are strong links with local and regional CPD and training networks, with regular trainees on specialist placements.
The post holder will be based in Worcestershire; however, it is expected that the role will support the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Adult Eating Disorder and Child Eating Disorder services in supervising junior members of staff and establishing pathways of care. It is essential that applicants can meet the travel requirement for the post.

Job responsibilities- To work as part of the Eating Disorders Team and contribute to the development of appropriate outcome measures and care pathways, including nutrition support initiatives within Worcestershire.
- To be part of the leadership team within the service and support the clinical lead with service development; this post includes a supervisory role to junior dietitians working in eating disorder services across the trust.
- To manage a clinical caseload providing a comprehensive and effective dietetic service, using advanced/highly specialist knowledge and skills.
- To work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team.

Person SpecificationKnowledgeEssential- Complex understanding of physiology, development, and the physical and nutritional risks associated with this high-risk population (e.g., refeeding syndrome) in order to make sound professional judgments following risk assessment, analysis, and interpretation of treatment options.
- Aware of and confident to advise on the use of nutritional products.
Additional CriteriaEssential- Able to meet the travel requirements of the role.
Skills & AbilitiesEssential- Role modeling good behavior.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats.
QualificationsEssential- Professional knowledge acquired through a degree in dietetics supplemented by postgraduate diploma specialist training, experience, short courses, plus further specialist training to master's equivalent.
- HCPC registration.
- I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at the point of offer.
Desirable- Eating Disorders qualification e.g., Diploma in Practitioner Skills for Eating Disorders or equivalent.
- Psychotherapy qualification e.g., basic certificate in counseling.
ExperienceEssential- Significant recent clinical dietetic experience including relevant training and experience within eating disorders and able to manage a caseload of clients with complex needs.
- Evidence of CPD in a range of clinical settings relevant to this post.
