Job summary

If so, our Band 7 Clinical Specialist role in our Assertive Outreach/Community Rehab Team may be the role for you!
We are a well-staffed multi-disciplinary team made up of Social Workers, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, a Psychologist, Psychiatrists, Support Workers, Peer Support Workers and a Pharmacy Technician. We operate as a team within a creative and flexible approach and provide shared responsibility of risk management to support our service users who have a primary diagnosis of psychosis. We run groups for service users and have a biopsychosocial approach to support and we are keen to find dynamic individuals with leadership experience to join the team. We are happy to accept professionals from either an Occupational Therapy, Psychiatric Nursing or Social Work background, provided they can demonstrate that their professional expertise can add unique value to the role.
Main duties of the job
The AOT/CRT works with individuals who are difficult to engage as well as those with identifiable rehabilitation goals. These individuals present with complex needs, including severe & enduring mental health needs, substance misuse, forensic issues, and housing difficulties and may have often had unsuccessful working relationships with mental health services in the past. The work we do with this group is crucial, and the job satisfaction we receive when we make a breakthrough with patients is incredible.
You will work alongside the Team Lead to provide management and leadership with a particular focus on providing clinical leadership to support staff in delivering high-quality care and service within the resources available in a defined area. You will be supervising approximately half of the band 6 staff within the team. Your role will also involve being a lead practitioner for a relatively small, yet complex caseload. You will also undertake duty tasks including supporting patients in crisis and with medication-related matters, with support from the medical staff.
