An established health service provider is looking for a dedicated Sonographer/Vascular Scientist to enhance the delivery of training for the AAA Screening Programme. We have an exciting opportunity for a Sonographer /Accredited Vascular Scientist to assist with the delivery of training for the North East and North Cumbria Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Screening Programme, based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital but required to attend the screening sites within the catchment area.
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and sensitive individual to undertake abdominal ultrasound scanning in the community and support local training of the Screening Technicians/Screening Nurse Practitioners. You will be part of a friendly, multidisciplinary team working closely with NAAASP approved vascular units to provide an effective patient-focused service. You will also be encouraged to undertake a range of training and development activities.
You will be expected to have a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards.
The successful candidate will need to have a clean driving licence and a car available for use with insurance for business purposes.
