There is an excellent opportunity available at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. We are looking for a Clinical Research Fellow to join our dedicated team within the Clinical Research Facility.
The successful applicant would be expected to fulfill the obligations of the Clinical Research facility rota, which includes care of patients in the CRF, recruitment of patients to clinical studies in the department. When not allocated to the CRF rota the successful candidate would be conducting research led by supervisors (Mrs. Julie Cornish and Professor Torkington). The post would typically be for 24 months with an option of extending to a three-year post for a PhD at the agreement of the candidate and supervisors.
Applications are invited from Medical Trainees with a keen interest in Clinical Research to become part of the Research Delivery team at Cardiff & Vale University Health Board. The post holder will perform clinical duties within the Clinical Research Facility. The successful candidate will take up this post for a fixed period of 24 months with a possible extension.

There will be a commitment to occasional out of hours working in the CRF if patients require overnight or long outpatient stays as part of the research study.

You will be responsible for undertaking the administrative duties associated with the care of patients in the Clinical Research facility and the administration of the department.
The successful applicant will be expected to partake in the teaching commitments of the Surgical and Research and Development Department, including teaching of undergraduates, nursing staff and postgraduate trainees.
