The Role:

As a Clinical Research Coordinator with us, you'll play a pivotal role by being responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigators, Co-investigators and the GenesisCare Research Team to conduct clinical research activities through the coordination and delivery of both direct and indirect care and associated data collection for clinical trials.

You will ensure that all research is conducted in accordance with GenesisCare SOPs, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines and all applicable national and international laws and regulations. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact and develop your research career.

What You'll Do:

  1. Work with the National research manager and Senior Clinical Research Co-ordinators to ensure the efficient and timely start-up of all research projects
  2. Attend Pre-Study and Site Initiation Visits for allocated trials
  3. Have a thorough understanding of all trials being conducted in the state, particularly the protocol, investigator brochure, participant information and consent forms, budget, timelines and safety reporting requirements
  4. Work with the National Research Manager and Senior Clinical Research Co-ordinators to develop and update patient recruitment plans and ensure recruitment targets and timelines are met
  5. Work closely with the National Research Manager and Investigators to manage day-to-day research activities
  6. Liaise directly with patients to ensure they are aware of all trial related requirements and ensure they attend all trial related appointments and assessments
  7. Be available to discuss any trial related queries with patients and liaise with investigators to ensure all questions and concerns are addressed
  8. Schedule protocol specific assessments and procedures ensuring Investigators are available during study visits to perform required tasks
  9. Ensure all pathology samples are prepared and shipped as per protocol.
  10. Liaise with and facilitate collaboration between relevant hospital departments and third parties to ensure the provision of quality clinical services
  11. Work with the National Research Manager and Senior Clinical Research Co-ordinators to prepare for and host pre-study and site initiation visits
  12. Prepare for and host monitoring and close out visits
  13. Manage Study budgets ensuring invoices are timely and accurate, communicate out of scope budget items
  14. Maintain all study related documentation and ensure data queries are completed in a timely manner
  15. Complete all study close out activities including archiving of all study records
  16. Maintain open and regular communication with key stakeholders, in particular sponsor representatives
  17. Complete all tracking and reporting activities in the required timelines
What You'll Have:

Experience and skills:
  1. Demonstrable experience in nursing, scientific disciplines, or research-related roles
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an effective, pro-active and co-operative manner
  3. High level of initiative and flexibility with the ability to meet deadlines while balancing multiple priorities
Qualifications and Knowledge:
  1. An undergraduate degree deemed equivalent in Science, Nursing, Pharmacy or related disciplines
  2. Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and applicable national and international laws and regulations.
  3. Strong computer literacy with knowledge of clinical trials software and MS Office suite
  4. Up-to-date knowledge in regulatory, administrative and clinical frameworks and current clinical issues and practice as they pertain to research
Other requirements for this role:
  1. Flexibility in working times and locations
  2. Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for travel as required
