Hello! We are a friendly and welcoming team looking for an HCPC accredited Clinical, Counselling or Practitioner Psychologist to join a new and exciting challenge with us!
You will be joining a small team of passionate psychologists from international backgrounds. We are dedicated and autonomous clinicians who are devoted to making a safe space to work, grow, and develop new ideas together.
The role will primarily be based within our Child and Adolescent Service Provision. This involves working with children and young people who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, and co-occurring neurodiversity, amongst other conditions. There will also be opportunities to work with adults and couples.
About the Clinic
Our clinic is run on the premise that well-supported clinicians who are content in their job will do the best work with our clients, so we put the wellbeing of our team at the forefront of everything we do.
The Oak Tree Practice is an independent psychology practice based in North-West London which aims to support adults, children, young people, parents, and families. Check out our website to find out more about us! www.theoaktreepractice.com.
Responsibilities
Clinical work: As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of individuals referred to our service including children, young people, parents, and families. The difficulties experienced by those being referred to our team range from low mood, anxiety, and friendship difficulties to challenges related to neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism and ADHD. We are keen to ensure a balanced caseload where our team has time to reflect and plan their sessions, so we will think carefully with you about your job plan before you start.
Outside of your clinical work: We will discuss your interests and what you would like to spend your time working on. Current members of the team have chosen to use this time to write articles, conduct research, and contribute to the starting up of a new service. We have also had discussions about expanding the number of bases we have for the practice, opening up a service in Dubai and using profits generated by the practice to offer low-cost options to make us more accessible.
Role details and benefits
Location: The role is based in Leeds. You may work remotely for up to one day per week and are also entitled to use up to 15 additional days of remote working per year.
Annual leave: 30 days per year (or NHS entitlement if more)
Hours: Full time – Note that due to a large percentage of demand for outside of work hours, some evening work will be a requirement of the role (two days a week 11am-7pm, 3 days a week 9am-5pm).
Bonus: Clinical Psychologists will be eligible for bonus payments which will be discussed during the interview process.
CPD and supervision: We are keen to support you with your professional development and are very happy to discuss options for further learning. You will be provided with regular supervision as part of this role.
