Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will support the Medical Device Safety Officer & Head of Clinical Products Governance and work in collaboration with GOSH Procurement Team to provide the Trust with the necessary clinical expertise and support required to review, standardise and rationalise the range of medical and surgical products used within the Trust, with a particular focus on the Health and Safety (Sharp Instruments in Healthcare) Regulations 2013 - commonly known as Safer Sharps, and Latex projects. 2. The identification of all products and equipment in the Trust containing latex and the identification of suitable alternatives. Once completed, the post holder will be responsible for ongoing surveillance and maintenance of these work streams to ensure regulatory compliance.
