Following practice reorganisation, we seek to directly employ an enthusiastic and driven pharmacist to join our friendly team at Lower Broughton Health Centre in Salford, just a stone's throw away from Manchester city centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to work in an aspirational and thriving practice with great colleagues. We are a Salford GP Training practice, as well as a University of Manchester Training Site for undergraduate students.
We are heavily invested in teaching and have supported several pharmacists through the CPPE pathway and IP course; and one of the practice partners teaches on the course.
This is a full-time role for a Clinical Pharmacist with GP experience, to bring their expertise and innovation to the team at Lower Broughton Health Centre located in Salford. The Clinical Pharmacist will work as a core part of our team.

Our requirement is for 37.5 hours per week, split over 5 working days. However, we would consider 2 applicants in a job share role, should we receive more than 1 exceptional applicant.

We ideally seek a clinical pharmacist who has completed their Independent Prescribing and/or CPPE qualifications and is keen to develop further.
The Practice:
Split over 2 sites looking after 11,500 patients in M6 and M7 Areas of Greater Manchester.
2 Partners, 10 Salaried GPs (3 Fellows), 3 GP STs, 2 Practice Nurses, 3 HCAs, Practice employed part-time Pharmacist, PCN employed ARRS pharmacists and pharmacy tech, and a well-organised and helpful team of reception staff.
High retention rate of staff.
High QoF achievement / CQC rating Good.
EMIS web IT system with AccuRx for patient messaging and Triage.
Surgery Connect telephone system.
A paper-light practice with organised Docman Workflow.
A typical day:
A typical day's tasks involve working through shared Docman workflow, reviewing medication-related queries from clinicians and patients, undertaking SMRs by telephone and in person, time allocated to work on practice priorities, KPIs and projects, and attendance at practice meetings/training sessions.
We offer terms as per our standard practice contract including NHS pension, annual leave and employment benefits. Depending on experience £47k - £52k.
