Clinical Nurse Specialist in Congenital Cardiology
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Nurse with experience in Cardiology and Adult Congenital Heart Disease. You will work in a highly skilled busy CNS team caring for a diverse group of patients.
The Congenital Cardiology team cares for around 10,000 adult patients with congenital heart disease. As an NHSE designated Level One ACHD centre, we work in a network with Great Ormond Street Hospital as our referring paediatric centre. We also work across an Adult network which includes outreach services at Basildon and UCLH.
There are a number of sub-specialty areas that sit under the ACHD service. We have clinics in the specialist areas of Maternal Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Heart Failure (including close working with Transplant Centres), Pulmonary Hypertension, and Transition.
You will work providing expert clinical nursing care to patients within a busy and dynamic service. The role is multi-faceted and includes responsibilities in providing access to patients via a helpline, supporting in-patient care, and assistance in the patient pathways of invasive diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.
