An established healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist in Haematology for Teenagers and Young Adults. This role offers a unique opportunity to work autonomously while being part of a collaborative team focused on providing high-quality care. You will assess patient needs, implement care plans, and support both patients and healthcare professionals in managing treatment side effects. Your expertise will significantly enhance the patient experience and contribute to the development of future services. The post holder will be required to work autonomously as well part of the immediate and larger teams participating in the holistic assessment of TYA and haematology patients. You will give advice, instigate investigations and implement patient care as appropriate to manage the patient, reducing the burden of treatment side effects and symptoms of the disease.
You will provide essential communication to improve patient experience and quality of care, reducing lengths of stay and avoiding unnecessary hospital admissions.
You will support the band 8a and Band 7 and lead consultant in the planning and development of the future service in accordance with the Trust's policies and procedures utilising the most effective resources.
Alongside the TYA and haematology teams you will provide specialist advice and education to health professionals regarding patients symptoms or side effects, related to the treatment or cancer to improve quality of life.

The Haematology and Teenager and Young Adults (TYAs) team are looking for a self-motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic, patient focused nurse with recent oncology/haematology experience, to help us maintain the delivery of high-quality care to patients referred to our team.
As a TYA and haematology CNS, you will holistically assess the patients current needs providing supportive care to improve their quality of life and reduce symptom burden.
You will be an integrated member of the multidisciplinary teams working across the whole patient pathway. This will incorporate supporting the patient as required throughout their oncological/haematological pathway. You will be expected to work within the team as well as autonomously, prioritising and managing your caseload and time appropriately.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hrs
