Job description

This is a great private practice that has grown exponentially over the last few years and continues to do so.

The Clinical Negligence Team is expanding and is looking to appoint an experienced Paralegal who can run their own caseload of pre-litigated cases and ideally has experience with litigated cases. In addition to managing your own caseload, you will work closely with the Solicitors, assisting them with cases.

You will have exposure to a good spread of work, which shall include matters such as surgical negligence, GP claims, and birth injury.

There's a wealth of experience within the team, meaning you will have good mentors around you, and you will be supported to continue developing your skills and experience within the specialism. It is anticipated that you shall have a minimum of 1 year's previous experience in clinical negligence cases and shall be familiar with the workings of ASPIC and the Court of Session.

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines are essential.

You will receive a competitive salary and generous benefits, together with hybrid working and extra financial rewards for hitting/exceeding individual/team fee-earning targets. You will also benefit from additional training and support and have a route for progression.
