Main duties of the jobThis role provides the opportunity to be part of a change of the way we deliver health and care services in our ICS. It crosses boundaries, both physical, organisational, professional and virtual and as such will extend individual leaders beyond the usual limits of responsibilities and authority located in their employing organisation. The postholder will have a flexible skillset that will allow them to work on a variety of services, dependent upon the need of the organisation. They will be comfortable in balancing the need to continually learn, with that of constructively challenging others who operate within the status quo.
In the first instance, this role will provide clinical support and direction in the improvement work within Trusts around managing UEC.
The role holder will have an understanding of the immense pressure within these divisions and work with clinicians and operational colleagues to both bolster local improvement efforts and seek and implement system-wide solutions to manage that pressure, ultimately to ensure a better experience for patients and those out in the community who require urgent emergency care.
