Job description

Applications are invited for the above post starting in February 2026 for an initial period of 6 months with the potential to be extended. The Fellowship is accredited by the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.

The Golden Jubilee University National Hospital Orthopaedic department is one of the largest Arthroplasty units within the UK, with 23 orthopaedic Consultants, 2 of whom specialise in foot and ankle surgery.

The Foot and Ankle Unit is a high volume centre for elective surgery with over 800 elective orthopaedic procedures each year and is a high volume centre for total ankle replacements.

The successful candidates will be exposed to all aspects of elective foot/ankle surgery including MI bunion, MTP replacements, arthroscopic fusions, tendon transfers and total ankle replacement procedures. The candidate will be expected to actively participate in audit and research.

Candidates should ideally have completed a basic Orthopaedic Registrar training program and passed the appropriate examinations.
