Job summary
PART TIME HOURS 18.75 PER WEEK
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a varied role across a well-established Older People's Mental Health service which includes a Community Mental Health Team, a Home Treatment Team and a Memory Clinic which has been accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatry.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated Clinical/Counselling Psychologist dedicated to providing high quality formulation-based care for older people with complex mental health needs and people with dementia.
There will be opportunities to further develop clinical skills through CPD, as well as leadership opportunities through service development projects, supervision experience and training. There will also be an opportunity to progress to band 8a once you have demonstrated that you meet the competencies over an 18-24 month period.
The postholder will be able to work from both the team's base in Hazelwood, Prospect Park Hospital, Reading and home, with visits to clients' homes in the Reading area. Travel across Berkshire for meetings and training will occasionally be required.
