Job description

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

Would you like opportunities to use and develop skills in a range of therapeutic modalities with individuals, families and systems? Would you like to ask 'what has happened to you' and not 'what is wrong with you'...and genuinely be able to build an intervention around the needs of the individual and their system? We are a group of clinicians who value the unique identity of each psychologist in our team.

This post offers excellent opportunities to work within a team dedicated to supporting interests in specialist therapeutic models and gaining access to relevant specialist supervision, for example systemic and neuropsychological supervision. We work with our psychologists to tailor supervision to their changing development needs and interests. Systemic pathways have recently been embedded within the psychology team as a pathway of care. This is alongside other pathways which allow for the use of a range of psychological models including EMDR and compassion focused therapy.

We have well established links with the Surrey Clinical Psychology doctorate and regularly provide teaching and trainee placements for the course, as well as other professional training programmes. We encourage the development of supervision skills and completion of the Surrey Supervisors Training Course. There will be opportunities for all post holders to undertake supervision and develop their supervisor skills.
