Role: Clinical Service Manager

Salary: £51,825

Location: Stourbridge, Central Midlands

Are you a dynamic and ambitious Home Manager looking for your next challenge?

A 24-bed care home in Stourbridge is seeking an experienced and passionate professional to oversee its operations. The home provides temporary accommodation for respite and rehabilitation, delivering the highest standards of care and support to older people with dementia. The philosophy is to see beyond the illness, recognizing the wider needs of each individual. Residents and their families actively contribute to care planning, with a dedicated family support group meeting regularly.

Working closely with the local community, GPs, and healthcare professionals, the goal is to provide a care environment that enables residents to lead as fulfilling a life as possible. High-quality nursing and care support are delivered with a person-centred approach, built on core values of wellness, happiness, and kindness.

Role Objectives
  1. Provide authentic leadership, inspiring and motivating the team to deliver outstanding care
  2. Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring 24-hour care for residents
  3. Effectively manage resources, including financial performance and occupancy levels
  4. Promote independence, choice, and well-being for all residents
  5. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements, particularly CQC and NMC guidelines

Leadership Responsibilities
  1. Lead by example, maintaining a visible and approachable presence within the service
  2. Set and uphold clear standards of care in line with best practices and organisational values
  3. Oversee a professional recruitment process, ensuring effective onboarding of new team members
  4. Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement using clinical governance frameworks

General Management Responsibilities
  1. Manage the service's budgets effectively, achieving key performance targets
  2. Ensure full compliance with all statutory obligations and relevant legislation (e.g. health & safety, environmental health)
  3. Support residents in managing their financial affairs while maintaining accurate records
  4. Embed a culture of meaningful activities within the service, engaging the entire team

Essential Requirements
  1. Qualified Nurse with a valid PIN
  2. Caring and compassionate approach
  3. Experience managing a service of similar size and client group
