This is an exciting and rewarding role that will involve clinical education and sharing learning across all the teams on the IPU. You will help support new starters by supporting them in their supernumerary programme so that they are fully prepared with the essential skills necessary to work on the ward. We are looking for someone who is experienced, works as a role model to others, approachable and enjoys teaching and supporting staff in their roles and development on all areas of IPU.
We are committed to providing new starters with a comprehensive induction. As a Clinical Educator, you will be instrumental in supporting staff through this period, and a direct link between education and clinical practice. You will also have a key role in supporting the Senior Clinical Educator and Unit Manager to share learning, teaching and develop improvement strategies on the Unit and across the wider inpatient areas.
We are also passionate about ongoing development of both individuals and the service, so the post holders will also support and develop new clinical training and competency packages around key clinical skills.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
