The Clinical Assistive Communication Specialist advocates for application of clinical evidence, practice, and insight into product development and throughout Dynavox Group.

The Clinical Assistive Communication Specialist role actively searches for and provides clinical knowledge and insights to ensure that our solutions are developed in a direction that supports our global community of users and internal stakeholders from a clinical best practice perspective. Being out in the field enables the Clinical Assistive Communication Specialist to build trust for Dynavox Group and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, enabling close collaboration with the market units and product development teams.

In this role, you will be able to have an impact on a bigger scale and make a difference. Therefore, having established connections with other therapist professionals and relevant organizations is highly appreciated to make the most out of this role.

Your week would include the following range of tasks:

  1. Clinical Data Insights: Collecting and analysing clinical data from scientific research, professional sources, stakeholder interactions, and assistive communication products-both in-person and remotely.
  2. Sharing Knowledge: Presenting key insights, trends, and findings to product management, development teams, market units, and other stakeholders. Your work will drive innovation in product development, training materials, and corporate communications.
  3. User Testing Leadership: Leading user testing sessions, with domestic travel within UK up to 25% of the time during work hours.
  4. Understanding User Needs: Gathering, maintaining, and sharing insights about the journeys and needs of individuals who use and support assistive communication tools.
  5. Evidence-Based Training: Providing decision-driven, evidence-based training for internal teams and in collaboration with market units.
We are looking for someone with:
  1. Master's Degree or equivalent education in Speech Language Pathology or closely related field.
  2. Experience equivalent to 5 years of practice in speech-language pathology or related field.
  3. Experience in evaluation and implementation of light technology and high technology augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems across a range of conditions, ages, and/or environments.
  4. Technical familiarity with AAC, including Tobii Dynavox products such as Boardmaker and TD Snap.
  5. Spoken and written communication skills in English language at a fully proficient level.
  6. Availability to travel domestically and internationally for 25% of the time during work hours.
