Job Description:

I’m currently collaborating with a company at the forefront of clinical research and diagnostics, and they’re looking for a Clinical Affairs Analyst to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play an integral role in the design, execution, and reporting of clinical trials, ensuring that products are safe, effective, and globally available. You’ll be contributing to various tasks that ensure the smooth management and execution of trials and submissions, with the added responsibility of managing two direct reports.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Participating in the design and reporting of clinical trials, either directly or via Contract Research Organisations (CROs)
  2. Executing trial protocols and ensuring their timely completion
  3. Collating trial data using in-house or external specimens (e.g., haematological specimens)
  4. Processing and accurately recording biological samples and cell lines
  5. Conducting laboratory activities such as biological sample culturing, FISH setup, analysis, and troubleshooting
  6. Assisting with study monitoring and coordinating with external clinical sites to provide required clinical data
  7. Contributing to the overall analytical and practical workload

What we’re looking for:

  1. A background in a science-related field (MSc or equivalent preferred)
  2. Experience working in a laboratory setting (critical for this role)
  3. Proven experience in clinical trial design and operational insights
  4. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical laboratory issues
  5. Familiarity with GLP environments and exceptional attention to detail
  6. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads under tight deadlines
  7. Willingness to travel (10% of the time) to visit clinical labs internationally and within the UK
  8. Knowledge of cytogenetic processing methods and FISH analysis is desirable

In return, you’ll receive:

  1. 10% non-contributory pension scheme
  2. Group income protection & life assurance

If you’re looking for a hands-on, lab-based role where you can make a real impact in genetics research, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career.
