Job Title: Clerical Reception Officer

Location: Crompton Health Centre, Crompton Way, Bolton, BL1 8UP

Hours: 37.5 per week Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm

Trust Location: Bolton NHS Foundation Trust

Role type: Temporary for 3 months with possibility of extension

What you'll be responsible for:

  1. Promote a positive and professional image to patients and visitors to the Sexual Health Service.
  2. Operate a central booking service across all the hubs and spoke clinics for the integrated sexual health service.
  3. Register all patients using the specialised Blithe Lilie computerised appointment system and ensure all patient information is checked and updated on patient record.
  4. Answer all telephone enquiries, including triage calls, GP's, health centres, practice nurses, A&E, and other Health Care Professionals, exercising independent judgement and initiative in providing appropriate information and redirecting calls.
  5. Input all results and demographic information received from Postal Screening Service to the EPR system.

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  1. Reception and administration experience.
  2. NHS experience is highly desirable.
  3. Knowledge of EPR system (highly desirable).
  4. Enthusiastic, confident approach to change, calm and reliable under pressure.
  5. Polite and courteous telephone manner.
