There has never been a more exciting time to join Wirral Council. We’ve got ambitious targets to meet and to achieve everything we have promised to our residents, we need people who are ready to deliver the very best for our communities and show how they can #BeTheDifference.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Regeneration Delivery to lead the delivery of transformational regeneration schemes set out in the Birkenhead 2040 Framework. This role is vital for the design and delivery of major regeneration projects and programmes across Wirral which will allow the Council to reach its ambitious placemaking agenda and create a well-designed, green, sustainable, waterfront community along the Left Bank of the River Mersey.
The focus of this role is to lead the delivery of the Hind Street urban village and developments in Birkenhead Town Centre integrating into the developments set out in the wider area.
The role will be fast-paced and require the ability to manage and respond to competing and changing priorities. We are looking for someone who has excellent relationship management and communication skills, particularly when dealing with multiple stakeholders and has a ‘can do’ attitude, bringing innovative and fresh thinking ideas whilst challenging the status quo.
We are looking for someone who is educated to degree level or has equivalent experience in a regeneration discipline such as development management, town planning, urban design, or chartered surveying. You will also have extensive experience of designing and delivering large-scale urban regeneration capital projects and programmes akin to the projects in Wirral.

We have a strong flexible working approach, hybrid working, family-friendly employment initiatives, and an annual leave package starting with 28 days leave plus public holidays.
