Role Overview

The candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of additional Business As Usual (BAU) activities within the Client Onboarding team whilst supporting the Head of Client Lifecycle in a fast paced Financial Services environment. The role will include completing Onboarding requests for all business areas at TP ICAP and growing into an SME role within the team.

Role Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the effective delivery of allocated client lifecycle processes, ensuring that activities are executed to defined service levels and on a timely basis, meeting the requirements of the business.
  2. Complete onboarding cases for low, medium and high risk clients across all businesses at TP ICAP, undertaking and thoroughly completing all necessary KYC/AML and due diligence checks.
  3. Monitoring of negative media alerts and where appropriate, investigation and escalation to compliance.
  4. Support the Team Manager in the analysis and implementation of necessary change to client lifecycle processes (including remediation projects) required for compliance with regulatory changes.
  5. To support the Team Manager and where delegated responsibility, lead the transition of functions and responsibilities into and out of the Client Lifecycle team whilst ensuring strong business risk management.
  6. Where delegated responsibility, act as a liaison to and provide support for any internal or external audits.
  7. To support the Team manager in partnering with IT on technical developments, including requirements gathering, UAT and post-release support.
  8. Preparation and periodic completion of management information reports for allocated processes/services in preparation for senior operations management review.
  9. To support the Team manager in the ongoing identification of process improvement, system improvement and automation opportunities that will drive efficiencies and effectiveness throughout the team.
  10. Build key relationships with internal Operations stakeholders as well as Front Office Brokers.
  11. Liaise with the Anti Financial Crime in London on cases that are escalated on AML/KYC risks.

People Responsibilities:

  1. Own project/business areas within the team and provide guidance to team members where required.
  2. Training junior colleagues on team processes.
  3. Overseeing the execution of tasks for junior colleagues, ensuring timely delivery to quality and agreed service levels.
  4. Provide feedback on suggestions for process enhancements to senior management.
  5. Drive a positive culture within the team by supporting all team members in their daily tasks.
  6. Complete quality reviews on onboarding and periodic review cases and provide feedback to junior members of the team.

Experience / Competences

Essential

  6. Highly skilled in Microsoft applications software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  7. Significant experience of financial markets.
  8. Significant experience in a similar organisation.
  9. Significant experience in training / mentoring junior colleagues.
  10. Significant experience in overseeing colleagues work.
  11. Strong understanding of risk and controls.
  12. Demonstrated experience of identifying, prioritising and implementing change.
  13. Demonstrated experience in succession planning, resource prioritisation & staffing management.
  14. Significant experience in Client Onboarding.
