Job description

DCT Recruitment are seeking experienced Client Executives to work with our client in Manchester.
To service a number of existing clients to meet our clients' demands and needs as well as building your own portfolio through driving new business. To build a large, European, independent, family-owned insurance brokerage group in which talents blossom and client satisfaction is continually high.
Our client has established Client Services teams in Manchester. This role will be based in our Manchester team, which is currently made up of four other Corporate Client Directors.
The volume of business is rising rapidly and career opportunities within Manchester and in the wider client group are excellent should individuals demonstrate the required skills and success in their role.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Client Relationship management - you will have overall responsibility for your clients including service and broking coordination.
  2. Finding and winning new clients.
  3. Strategic and directional planning for management of your clients including liaising with the Account Chairman (where appropriate).
  4. Facilitating and overseeing introductions along with ongoing management to other areas of the business (e.g. Claims, Risk Management, Credit, EB, Private Clients).
  5. Client visits.
  6. Creating and delivering Client Service Plan.
  7. Ensuring appropriate resources are in place to deliver agreed services.
  8. Agreeing appropriate remuneration with client.
  9. Client entertainment participation and oversight.
  10. Credit control.
  11. Ensuring clients are fully aware of policy coverage, conditions, limitations.
  12. Creating an active pipeline and recording on Acturis.
  13. Establishment of client demands, needs, cover requirements, and programme design.
  14. Fact Find completion and organization of additional underwriting information (e.g. claims experience, surveys, questionnaires, etc.).
  15. Liaising with Broker on broking strategy to be employed and contributing as necessary.
  16. Signing off Broking presentations.
  17. Developing the renewal strategy for each of your clients.
  18. Establishment of any changes to client demands, needs, cover requirements, and programme design.
  19. Fact Find and underwriting information updates (Informally every year. Formally whenever re-broking takes place or every 3 years).
  20. Liaison with Broker / AH on any re-broking strategy to be employed and contributing as necessary.
  21. Signing off Broking presentations.

Person Specification

  1. Cert CII (Essential).
  2. Dip CII (Desirable).
  3. Considerable experience in the corporate insurance industry.
  4. Extensive working knowledge of General Commercial Lines business and the Broking market.
  5. Previous Client Executive experience within a Corporate broker would be an advantage, although candidates who can demonstrate when they have stepped up and displayed the required behaviours will be considered.
  6. Demonstrable drive, self-motivation, and determination to achieve results.
  7. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills combined with a proven track record of relationship management and customer focus.
  8. Strong influencing, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  9. Team player.
  10. Customer obsessed.
  11. Consistently demonstrates behaviours conducive to achieving both personal and team objectives, in line with the core values.
  12. Target book size of £250,000 made up of more smaller Corporate cases (sub £7,500 fee income).
  13. Strong working knowledge of the Acturis system.
