Client Administration Secretary – Estate Administration (Part-Time) | Orpington | Reputable Regional Law Firm

TSR Legal, a specialist legal recruitment consultancy, is pleased to be working with a respected and well-established law firm in Orpington to recruit a Client Administration Secretary to join their expanding Estate Administration team on a part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced secretary or administrator to contribute to a thriving, supportive department known for its collaborative, partner-led structure and client-focused approach.

The Opportunity

In this client-facing administrative role, you will play a vital part in the smooth onboarding and support of clients dealing with probate and estate matters. The team provides expert guidance in estate and trust administration and works closely with other departments to deliver a seamless service.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys client interaction, is highly organised, and thrives in a structured, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all incoming enquiries from new clients and provide clear, professional first-line communication
  • Send client care documentation and coordinate initial client meetings
  • Conduct compliance checks, including Smartsearch and other client due diligence procedures
  • Open new client matters using the Practice Management System
  • Prepare and process file closures and ensure correct archiving procedures are followed
  • Liaise with internal teams and partners to support the day-to-day flow of estate administration work

About You

  • Previous secretarial or administrative experience within a legal setting, ideally in estate administration or private client
  • Highly organised, methodical, and capable of handling sensitive matters with professionalism
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to deal empathetically with clients
  • Confident using legal case management and compliance tools (training can be provided)
  • A proactive team player with a positive attitude and a keen eye for detail
