Job description

A vacancy has arisen within the Client Team for a Client Account Manager covering the Cambridgeshire areas. The role could also involve occasional overnight stays and the ideal candidate must be located in the Cambridge area within a 40-mile radius. You will join them on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary + benefits.


As the UK market leading Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom fitted furniture manufacturer, they have had unsuppressed growth over the last 50 years, with an emphasis on providing a high standard of products and service. They are currently seeking the very best people, to further strengthen their position within the industry by appointing dedicated individuals to share in their success.


The Client Account Manager role:

As their Client Account Manager, you will be responsible for producing specifications for new and existing clients relating to mixed tenure new build developments and planned refurbishments schemes.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Working closely with Development and Sales Managers/Directors and Architects within the Social Housing market to create specifications for mixed tenure new build schemes to help meet clients' budgets. Once approved, the live Developments will be passed onto the Contractor or Skyline Teams to look after the running of the sites.
  2. Developing and growing relationships with key personnel within the Client Maintenance and Development teams.
  3. Building a pipeline of New Build Developments and Specification for Clients within the Social Housing sector.
  4. Forecasting pipeline for secured new build work passed onto the Contractor or Special Projects teams, as well as the planned refurbishment works.
  5. Conducting Factory and Marketing Suite tours at Head Office to demonstrate the service and products that the company can provide.
  6. Producing monthly reports on all opportunities and sales.
  7. Maintain customer contact details to ensure customer records are kept up to date.
  8. Manage/control the quotation tender process for new businesses.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Knowledge of the industry, company's terms of trading, range of manufactured and bought out products and all major competitors.
  2. An understanding of the Social Housing Market.
  3. Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  4. The ability to “think outside the box” to find solutions.
  5. A full UK driving licence as you will be required to travel within the region and to other parts of the UK as required.

You will be:
  1. Able to manage your own diary and time efficiently and effectively.
  2. Able to communicate confidently with people at all levels from site operative to Director.
  3. Willing to work as part of a dynamic team.
  4. Able to work under pressure to maintain deadlines.
  5. Computer literate, with good PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  6. Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  7. Professionally presentable at all times.
