Skilled Careers are pleased to confirm they have been commissioned to search for an experienced Clerk of Works to join a £500M, tier two main contractor working across their vast London portfolio of new build projects.

Due to expansion within the company and the construction team, our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clerk of Works to join their growing team.

This is a new role within the business which could have capacity to expand and develop into a managerial role within 12/18 months.

My client is a tier two main contractor which is looking to appoint a dedicated Clerk of Works to join their forward-thinking team and make a tangible impact on their innovative projects.

As a Clerk of Works, you will:

1. Bring a sharp focus on quality, promoting "right first time" initiatives to reduce rework and enhance efficiency.
2. Use your foresight to identify and mitigate potential issues, while providing independent, expert guidance to ensure value for money for our clients.
3. Apply your knowledge of construction materials, practical techniques, and health and safety requirements to deliver outstanding results.
4. Produce concise and insightful recordings of findings and provide professional recommendations for corrective actions and improvements.
5. Ensure that the new BSA regulations within the company are being upheld.

You will be reporting directly to the London region Construction Director and will be working closely alongside the onsite construction team.

What we're looking for:

1. Ideally you should be working for either a Housing Association/Private client or a main contractor.
2. MCIOB or an equivalent construction related qualification.
3. Experience of the new BSA regulations.
4. Proven experience of working on new build projects as a Clerk of Works.
5. Client facing, articulate both verbal and written reports.
6. Reported at senior level.
7. Experience of using Fieldview or Procure.

The salary on offer is up to £85,000 all in package (Could be negotiable depending on experience) plus 25 days holiday, 5% pension, healthcare and a discretionary bonus scheme.
