An established industry player is seeking a Clerical Officer for the Clinic Preparation Team. This role involves managing patient records, ensuring timely preparation for outpatient and inpatient services, and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with health guidelines. The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team, utilizing the Patient Administration System for daily operations. This role will entail retrieving notes from the filing libraries and filing them back in numerical order. This may require the use of ladders or step stools (full training will be provided). The use of a PC using the Trust's Patient Administration System will form part of the daily requirements. It is important to be able to work as part of a team as well as independently. The role requires good manual handling skills.
This role involves working as part of a team to ensure that the notes required for outpatient attendances and inpatient episodes are prepared and made ready in time for the patient's attendance. The majority of the time will be desk-based; however, there is a requirement to retrieve notes from filing units to prepare them for clinics.
The post holder is expected to use the Trust's Patient Administration System (PAS) SEMA within all areas of Health Records and Patient Access, which will require extensive use of a VDU and daily keyboard skills. Responsibilities include:
