Our client, a leading national organisation, is seeking a dedicated Cleaning Supervisor to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of cleaning and catering staff, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in a critical health care environment. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with excellent career potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of 5-12 cleaning and catering staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage across multiple sites.
- Monitor cleaning procedures and ensure adherence to established protocols and standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain quality control.
- Communicate effectively with area managers regarding daily tasks and operational updates.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed according to schedule and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Act as a point of contact for staff inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Deputise for the Senior Cleaning Manager when required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role, ideally within the cleaning, health care or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, products, and equipment.
- Basic IT skills (e.g., email, scheduling software).
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Experience in a health care setting is preferred but not essential.
