JOB TITLE: Cleaning Operative

LOCATION: PARKWAY SHOPPING CENTRE, NEWBURY

SHIFT PATTERN: 5 days out of 7 including weekends

PAY RATE: £12.60 per hour

Job Objective & Responsibilities:

ABM is looking for hardworking and proactive cleaner to join our team in The Lexicon Shopping Centre.

Main Duties:

1. Your duties will involve general cleaning of shopping areas, and you will be working outside the majority of the time.
2. You will be responsible for maintaining clean and safe areas, with tasks involving brushing, litter picking, and waste removal.
3. You will also carry out general office and welfare area cleaning.
4. You will be working without supervision; therefore, you must be proactive, with good attention to detail and reliable.
5. Radios are used on site throughout the shift.
6. Training and full uniform will be provided.
7. You must have good timekeeping, great communication skills, and an immaculate appearance.
8. While working in the centre, you will be interacting with the public and, where appropriate, recognize situations wherein it will be appropriate to offer assistance/add value (e.g., lost children, members of the public feeling unwell or distressed, evacuations, etc.).
9. You will carry out cleaning duties as directed by the co-ordinator and work proactively to support/assist colleagues whenever in a position to do so and undertake ad hoc duties as directed/operationally required.
