Job description

School Cleaner
Location: Darwen, Lancashire
Salary: £12.71 to £13.22 p/hr
Hours: 10 hours per week term time only working Monday to Friday 2.15pm-4.15pm

We’re currently looking for a Part Time Cleaner working afternoons Monday - Friday, term time only.

Teaching Personnel have an amazing opportunity to work with an outstanding SEN school based in Darwen. The school is looking for a school cleaner to join their dedicated team.

The school is currently looking for a part time cleaner to join their housekeeping team. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the school.

Key Duties:

  • Dusting and polishing
  • Maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen areas
  • Vacuuming and washing floors
  • Tidying up rooms
  • Monitoring cleaning supplies and ordering more as needed
  • Reporting any necessary repairs
  • Keeping bathrooms stocked and clean
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste

Skills and Qualifications:

Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:

  • Some knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations regarding cleaning equipment and materials.
  • Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the school team.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize work and be flexible.
  • Experience of undertaking a range of cleaning duties.
