Classroom Support Assistant
Location: Chapel-en-le-Frith
Salary: GBP90 - GBP100 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediately
Contract Type: Day-to-day/ Long Term, Full-Time / Part-Time
Requirement: Must be a Driver

GSL Education are seeking a committed and proactive Classroom Support Assistant to join schools in Chapel-en-le-Frith starting immediately. This rewarding role involves providing essential support to both teachers and students, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. Responsibilities of a Classroom Support Assistant:

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
• Provide one-to-one and group support to students in the classroom.
• Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Support students with their academic and social development.
• Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom materials.
• Monitor and encourage positive behaviour and participation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and well-being.
• Offer support to students with additional needs, adapting activities as necessary.

Requirements for Classroom Support Assistant:

• Previous experience working with children or young people as a Classroom Support Assistant or similar is desirable.
• Qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or similar are advantageous.
• A degree in Psychology, Education or in a similar field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
• Must be a driver with access to own transport.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
