Job Title: Classroom Nursing Assistant
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 per hour (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and motivated Classroom Nursing Assistant to join our schools in Bournemouth. This role is vital in ensuring that students receive the medical and personal care they need to succeed in their education. If you have the skills and drive to make a real difference in the lives of young learners, this is the role for you!

As a Classroom Nursing Assistant, you will:

• Provide healthcare support to students with medical needs, including first aid and emergency care.
• Work closely with teachers to monitor the health and wellbeing of students, ensuring they are fit to engage in school activities.
• Administer prescribed medication to students, following school protocols and parental consent.
• Assist students with physical care and mobility, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Support students with chronic health conditions by monitoring symptoms and providing assistance where necessary.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of students' medical conditions, treatments, and progress.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure students receive the best care.
• Promote a safe and supportive environment where students feel comfortable and secure.
• Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to in the classroom and throughout the school.

Requirements for Classroom Nursing Assistant:

• Previous experience in a healthcare role, particularly in a school or similar setting, or as a Classroom Nursing Assistant is desirable.
• Relevant qualifications in healthcare, such as a Nursing Assistant qualification or similar, are an advantage.
• A strong understanding of medical procedures and first aid.
• Ability to work effectively with students with healthcare needs, demonstrating patience and empathy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
• Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
