The children, staff and Local Academy Committee are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, inspirational, and enthusiastic class teacher to join our dedicated team of staff.

Birchills was inspected in April 2024 securing a Good judgement in all areas. We are now looking for an enthusiastic teacher to join us in continuing our successful journey.

We are looking for a teacher who:
  1. Can demonstrate excellent pedagogical knowledge and demonstrate evidence of the Teachers Standards.
  2. Is committed to engaging and inspiring our children, has high expectations and the ability to make a real difference - building on what children already know and can do to make a positive impact.
  3. Shows flexibility, commitment, and excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively as a valuable member of the school team.
  4. Is a fantastic role model to the team of experienced Teaching Assistants and leads learning and the team in the classroom.
  5. Is dynamic in their ability to nurture, inspire and challenge all pupils to grow in confidence and make exceptional progress.
  6. Will celebrate the uniqueness of every child and our inclusive ethos.
  7. Provides a positive learning environment that stimulates creativity, curiosity, investigation, reasoning and problem-solving.
  8. Provides an environment that respects the rights of the child.
  9. Has high expectations of yourself, our staff, and our children.
  10. Understands the importance of working in partnership with parents.
