We are looking for experienced Class C1 Drivers to join us for our clients' requirements - Part time work available.

Working Schedule: Monday - Friday work with the option to work weekends.

Experience: CAT C1 driver experience essential.

Driver Hire Manchester South are on the lookout for skilled Class C1 drivers to join our client's delivery team!

Monday to Friday with the option of working Saturdays (for a higher rate of pay). We are looking for somebody who has the passion to deliver excellent customer service. Specialising in delivering products on behalf of a leading retailer to private households, the role is key to the success of our business and you will represent the face of the client to the customer on a daily basis.

Class C1 Driver Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver Exceptional Service: Provide a professional, high-quality driving experience that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
2. Ensure Prompt and Safe Delivery: Guarantee customers receive their orders in perfect condition, on time, every time.
3. Customer Engagement: Build rapport with customers by delivering a friendly, positive experience, managing any questions or concerns with professionalism and courtesy, whether in person or over the phone.
4. Room-to-Room Delivery: Safely and efficiently deliver products to the customer's room of choice, handling each item with care.
5. Documentation Accuracy: Complete all necessary paperwork and electronic documentation accurately and efficiently, aligning with customer, company, and regulatory requirements.
6. Health & Safety Commitment: Take responsibility for your safety and the safety of others, conducting dynamic risk assessments, following safe work practices, and adhering to the Health & Safety at Work Act. Report any accidents, incidents, or damage promptly.
7. Regulatory Compliance: Follow all driving and working time regulations to ensure full compliance.
8. Continuous Development: Attend any relevant training to keep skills sharp and support continuous improvement efforts within the team.

Class C1 Driver Experience & Qualifications

1. Valid Licensing: Hold an in-date, valid CAT C1 licence, CPC licence, and Digi Card.
2. Good Driving Record: Have no more than 6 points on your licence.
3. Professional Presentation: Maintain a smart appearance and bring excellent customer service skills with a keen eye for detail.
4. Flexibility & Punctuality: Show flexibility in shifts and duties with reliable timekeeping.
5. Time-Critical Service: Provide efficient, on-time delivery service, meeting targets agreed upon by both the customer and Wincanton.
6. Experience Behind the Wheel: Previous retail or commercial driving experience is preferred, and multi-drop experience is an advantage.
7. Physical Capability: Due to the nature of the role, heavy lifting is required daily. You'll handle bulky items such as washing machines, kitchen units, and worktops as part of a two-person team.

Guaranteed pay of 8 hours per day, plus, attractive minimum rate of pay of £13.30 per hour (that's £14.90 per hour when inclusive of holiday pay) PLUS, regular overtime, paid weekly via PAYE.
