Class 2 Driver

Class 2 Driver (ADHOC)
Location: Irlam, M44 6BA
Shifts: 7am start
Pay Rate: 13.11 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating commercial vehicles up to 26 tonnes, including rigid trucks and trailer wagons.
• Driving long or short distances.
• Multi-drop deliveries between 15 to 25 drops per day.
• Maintaining good customer service and direct client communication.
• Supervising or assisting with unloading goods.
• Lifting and carrying heavy goods, loading and unloading.
• Ensuring loads are safely secured.
• Following traffic reports and adapting routes as necessary.
• Completing delivery paperwork or using an Electronic App.
• Complying with Driver Hour Tacho and road regulations.
• Driving in an efficient and economical manner.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks (start and end of shift).
• Reporting and documenting any accidents or incidents.
• Spending nights away from home during long haul deliveries if necessary.
• Completing and keeping up to date with FORS eLearning Modules.

Requirements:

• A valid Class 2 (C) License and Driver CPC card.
• A valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy goods.
• Up-to-date knowledge of FORS and commitment to completing eLearning modules.
• Experience working within a transport (warehouse and distribution) environment.
• Working knowledge of distribution environments and driver's hour regulations.
