Job description

Vortex Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Class 2 Drivers to join our client in Ashford. This is an exciting opportunity for drivers who thrive in a dynamic environment, where each day brings new challenges and deliveries.

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently within the general haulage sector. Your role will involve executing between 1 to 4 deliveries per shift, providing you with variety in your workday.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate Class 2 vehicles in compliance with road traffic regulations
2. Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety and performance
3. Deliver goods to various locations, maintaining punctuality and professionalism
4. Manage paperwork associated with deliveries, including delivery notes and vehicle checks
5. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure smooth operations

Ideal Candidate:

1. Possess a valid UK Class 2 driving licence
2. Have previous experience in a driving role, preferably within the haulage industry
3. Exhibit a strong understanding of road safety and compliance regulations
4. Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills
5. Be a team player with strong communication skills
