They are looking for a Class 1 HGV Driver (Nights) to join their Liverpool depot for night trunking to their pallet network hubs Monday – Friday.

About the role:

As a Class 1 HGV Driver (Nights) at the Liverpool depot, you will play a vital role in the night trunking operations, delivering goods to pallet network hubs from Monday to Friday. Your responsibilities will encompass operating your vehicle with efficiency and safety while being the face of the business in every interaction with clients and the public.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring that all loads are strapped and secured.
• Submit daily vehicle checks, noting any defects, and maintain compliance with all governing laws and in-house regulations.
• Provide clear Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation for each consignment, whether in written or electronic form.
• Operate the HGV vehicle safely and efficiently, ensuring all fuel and equipment is used to its maximum potential.
• Communicate promptly and professionally with the traffic office regarding any issues or accidents.

About you:

They are looking for a dedicated Class 1 HGV Driver who holds a full UK driving licence with Category C+E entitlement and a valid CPC. You should possess excellent communication skills, a courteous and professional approach, and a strong commitment to keeping the vehicle safe, clean, and tidy at all times. While previous experience in a similar role is preferable, it is not essential as our comprehensive induction programme will support the right candidate. An ADR licence is desirable, although not essential.

This is a full-time, permanent position. Working hours are Monday to Friday working a minimum of a 9-hour night.
